100 pharma uses for Twitter…

Plus, another 40. I know Twitter has the internet ablaze with coverage on a daily basis now, but the use of Twitter in the pharma world  has been on deep-freeze until recently.  And everyone (including those outside of pharma) tend to have the same question: how can you successfully use Twitter to promote a brand or business?

Well, the Silicon Alley Insider (thanks, Fuel Lines) provided readers with the 11 Business Plans for Twitter as a result of their Twitter Revenue Model Contest. And for those in the pharma world, Phil Baumann put together a great presentation called 140 Health Care Uses for Twitter.

Pharma definitely could use Twitter for all sorts of purposes, from consumer-support, prescriber-support, sales, marketing, etc.

Pharma has *enormous* challenges in establishing safe and effective social media practices, but once they’re fleshed out I believe these technologies and communities offer novel ways to offer remarkable services to stakeholders.

Thanks for appreciating the list. We’ve a long way to go before many of those suggested uses can actually be implemented. But we all have to start somewhere.
